Cat lovers rejoice: Exhibition just for youDate Posted: 2012-07-13 ![]() ![]() The concept is to “give a place to play with cats for people who want to have a cat, but can’t for some reason, or for people who really like cats.” A total of 40 kinds of cats, a total of 70 cats, will be at the venue that operates daily 10:30 a.m. ~ 8 p.m. Last entry each day is 7:30 p.m., except on the final day, when the exhibition closes at 4:30 p.m. Ryubo will be featuring some rare cats, too, and the “Kinkalow” is a one-of-a-cat-kind, authorized as a new type of cat only two years ago. Visitors can carry or stroke some cats at the “Fureai Hiroba” corner. There’s also a ‘Cat Café’ for people who want to relax while watching cats. Cats play around the café, and customers watch them, have soft drinks and relax. Entry fee for the café is ¥500, including one soft drink. An additional ¥300 gets customers to a separate exhibition space. General entry fee for the exhibition is ¥800 for adults and kids 16 and older, and ¥500 for ages 4 through junior high school. Children under four are free. On display will be more than 2,500 cat pictures drawn by Ryoko Matsushima, as well as cat items. The exhibition will accept customers’ pictures, and will display them. There will also be 50 winners selected from applicants who send cat pictures. |
