Miyazato girls finish well in U.S. Women’s Open

The early rounds didn’t hold up for Mika and Ai Miyazato at the U.S. Women’s Open, but both held on at the Greenbrier Vent in Arkansas to finish fifth and sixth.

Ryu So-Yeon battled to victory in a three hole playoff against fellow South Korean Hee Kyung Seo to win the U.S. Women’s Open with a 281. Cristie Kerr took third, with Angela Stanford finishing fourth.

Okinawa’s Mika Miyazato finished fifth with a 285, while fellow islander Ai Miyazato pulled out a 286 to tie for 6th with Park In-Bee of South Korea. Ai Miyazato drops to fourth from third in the world rankings with the weekend performance.
