Date Posted: 2012-07-07

The way to dissolve stress is by relaxing, and one of biggest relaxation facilities in Okinawa is Kanna Thalasso Therapie Okinawa in Ginoza village.

The facility is a relaxation and fun place offering several pools with Jacuzzis, massage treatments and pools for Thalasso Therapy. The facility gets its name from “Thalasso”, meaning “sea or ocean” in Greek, and “Therapie”, which is therapy in French. It features a large Jacuzzi bath that uses natural ocean water.

On the second floor of the building there is the “Barde Zone” with 14 kinds of Jacuzzis and a sauna. The Jacuzzis’ temperatures are each set for a specific effect or purpose, and it’s all warm ocean water. The Jacuzzis at the facility use surface sea water that has plenty of minerals because the water basks in sunshine. There’s no time limit for customers to enjoy using the pools.

There is also a water-slide, as the facility works as a leisure facility for whole families. Various programs such as recovering from fatigue, keeping fit, stress relief and more are available. Families with even tiny babies can enter the bath and use the facility. For those small fry, baby needs are met; “Baby Swimmer is like a nappy for swimming, a special swimwear worn over the baby swimmer. The warm water is set with temperatures as close to body heat as possible, so babies will be relaxed because they remember when they were inside their mother’s womb. Even people with tattoos can use the facility, but they need to use a rash guard.

A lot of customers have posted their records of results. For example, a man who visits regularly with his small son said, “Since we started coming here my son began to sleep soundly, and stopped crying during the night.” A woman who often visits the facility said, “I know of other customers who used to walk using a stick that became so well that now they can walk without a stick! I actually have seen these results by my own eyes.”
