Hotel's French Bistro De La Mer honors America's independenceDate Posted: 2012-07-07 ![]() ![]() French dishes and a few touches of Okinawan cuisine using local ingredients will be the handiwork of a female French culinary designer, with everything from shrimp cocktail, assorted ham, marinated salmon with lemon, four kinds of salads, honey ginger grilled salmon, sautéed fresh fish with pineapple and coconut sauce, crispy lemon fried chicken, roast beef, jambalaya and four kinds of special desserts are all waiting for the ultimate taste test. The buffet is ¥3,500 per person, with an all-you-can-drink course added for ¥1,500 per person. Maruf Umarov, the Bistro De La Mer restaurant manager, promises “an evening of gorgeous ambience, plus special wines selected by our restaurant’s sommelier.” Wines will be available from ¥500 per glass, or ¥3,600 per bottle. Maruf notes “our hotel is of French descent, so we recommend the wine. Each wine is special.” The all-you-can-drink option covers two hours of red and white wine, Awamori, sparkling wine and soft drinks. The dinner buffet Saturday will run 5 p.m. ~ 10 p.m. “Such special dinners do not occur every day,” says Maruf. “It is special. The day will be a special one for your family, for sure.” Children 7~12 may join the buffet for ¥2,000,while kids under six are free. Parking is also free in the lot behind the hotel.
