She says that their stay here has been fun. “We want to see everything this island has to offer,” she says. Her favorite local food is Okonomiyaki, and her other favorites are the beaches, taiko drumming and karate. “In general, my family’s favorite pastime on weekends and other times when we have time off is to experience local culture, and sample local food,” she explains. She adds that they plan to go see Hiji Falls near Okuma sometime in the near future.
