Two drunk teens can’t escape pursuing cops

Date Posted: 2012-05-12

In a move Itoman Police describe as “stooped,” or worse, two drunken teens failed in their attempt to flee a crime scene, winding up on their faces and then handcuffs.

Police arrested the two 17-year-old boys after they’d broken into private property, a fenced off parking area of the Itoman Police Station while riding a motorized 125cc bicycle without helmets. The 7:30 a.m. incident, as the boys were riding around the parking lot, drew police attention. When the boys saw police heading toward them, they tried to escape.

The boys, who told officers they’d drank three cans of alcoholic chu-hi at a neighboring park, fell down as they tried to flee the police station parking lot. When tested for alcohol, both were detected as over legal limits. According to Itoman police, the boy who drove the motorized bicycle suffered a facial injury when he fell down, grazing his face.
