Okinawa’s favorite amusement center, SEGA Mihama, reopens its doors Saturday with an aura of excitement over new games and special opportunities for visitors to win.

The renovation has been total, with new medal game machines now in place, and everything rearranged in the SEGA Mihama complex. One of the largest amusement centers on the island, SEGA Mihama is ready for the throngs of Okinawa residents expected to pour through the doors, including couples families and friends anxious to again play games.

SEGA Mihama’s Chief of staff, Tatsushi Ikehara, says “in preparing for our grand reopening, our staff received training that brings the level of our service up, and we believe firmly customers who come to SEGA will feel satisfied when playing.”

As part of the grand reopening, the “Cos-Puri” (Costume Play Print Club) section will again be part of SEGA Mihama. At the Cos-Puri section, visitors can borrow costumes and take pictures in costume using Print Club machines.

Gentlemen beware: The Cos-Puri section is only for ladies, and those ladies wanting to borrow a costume, they need to become Cos-Puri members. The membership, however, is free.

With a Cos-Puri member’s card to show to staff, then, you can choose a costume and can take pictures by the Print Club machines. There is fitting room for ladies for putting on costumes.

Men cannot enter the Cos-Puri section, but ladies can go out of the Cos-Puri section with their selected costume on. Couples can take pictures with costumes on using other Print Club machines on the outside of the section. You can bring costumes by yourself, so, ladies can bring their own costumes, put them on in fitting rooms for ladies, and can take pictures.

Ikehara says “By taking pictures with costumes, you can feel very different than from everyday life, and can make special memories. Please enjoy taking pictures with costumes with your friends, families and lovers.” Ikehara adds the reminder about “feeling free to ask about Cos-Puri membership to our staff.”

As part of the grand reopening, SEGA will hold a huge lottery machine event from April 28th, with visitors receiving free tickets when they play games totaling more than ¥2,000. There are different ways to get those free tickets: One, show five (5) pictures taken by Print Club machine, because Print Club machines are ¥400 per one play, to SEGA’s staff, then, you can get one exchange ticket. Another way is that is to play the crane game by ¥500 coin, you need to call staff and show them before putting a ¥500 coin in the game, and then you can get one stamp. Collect four stamps and show SEGA’s staff, and you can get one exchange ticket.

You can play the huge lottery game one time per each ticket. Game winners receive nice prizes such as game machines, portable media players, air cleaners and more. Ikehara adds “We have committed our effort to increasing service quality, so each visit is an enjoyable event. Please have a fun time in our progressive amusement center, SEGA with your friends, family and loved ones.”

SEGA is open 10:00 a.m. to midnight daily, but kids under age 18 cannot enter after 8 p.m. SEGA Mihama amusement center is located in American Village, next to Makeman DIY Center in Mihama Chatan.
