English Okinawa resort hotel web site debutsDate Posted: 2012-04-20    The company, PAM, currently publishes information and accepts reservations for many facilities within Okinawa Prefecture on its website, but until now, discount services and special lodging plans on the site have all been in Japanese, and targeted to local residents. PAM’s start-up of an English language web site is directed at foreigners living in Okinawa, while at the same time helping foreign tourists enjoy their stay here, and helping them to have fun. The new website, “Okinawa Tour Land Hotel Booking”, is designed to be “the best hotel reservation web site, and one that sets the stage for enjoying the best of everything Okinawan life style has to offer.” That’s the goal for Hiroyuki Sakata, the assistant manager of PAM’s web marketing team. Sakata says PAM lives up to its motto “Fitting you into resort life”, so accordingly, they’ll have a variety of plans and thorough information on hotels, restaurants and events to enjoy while staying on this resort island. For starters, among the 36 hotels on the site there are famous resort hotels that everyone knows, with many of the resorts and hotels being places that almost everyone wants to visit at least once. That, says Sakata, creates opportunities to visit places “you may have wanted to stay, but wouldn’t because of the expense at normal lodging rates.” On top of that, Sakata says “you can use the web site to reserve a stay for your family or friends from your home country, for special celebrations, on U.S. National Holidays, and even for a place to stay after visiting a festival taking place a long distance from home.” Pam plans to expand its website outside Okinawa’s main island, with the goal of covering Ishigaki, Miyako, Ie, and even remote islands.
