And this week's winner is...

Date Posted: 2012-04-07

The lucky winner of this week’s JU raffle is Natasha Stutlien. She won tickets for two to Ryukyu Kaiensai Fireworks Festival. The Apr. 21st festival is the first fireworks show of the year in Japan, and at the same time one of the largest. It takes place at Tropical Beach in Ginowan next to Okinawa Convention Center.

Natasha is from Virginia Beach, VA, and boldly claims “the East Coast is the best!!” However, she has been on Okinawa just under year and half, and and is scheduled to stay to the end of 2014.

She says her life in Okinawa is definitely exciting. “I love the kindness of local people. This is truly an amazing place to live.” Her especially favorite food is yakisoba that she shortly describes with one word “Yum!”
She says she would love to explore northern Okinawa more. “I would like to check out the YYY Resort on Ie Island, and hike to see Hiji Falls. I have heard good things about both,” she explains.

To participate in Japan Update raffle, just go to www.japanupdate.com, and click “Raffle Entry” where you can see what the prize is for the currently on-going raffle. Then just sign up, and good luck!
