Interfering with policeman results in teenís arrest

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested by Urasoe Police for obstructing a government official in the execution of his duties.

Urasoe City Police say the teen had been driving his motorcycle on a sidewalk along Highway 58 in the cityís Makiminato district when a passing patrol car ordered the boy to stop. The policeman held up a stopping signal, but the boy knocked the signal out of his hand as he tried to drive past.

Officers then arrested the boy, charging that his actions disturbed the officer in performance of his official duty. Nobody was injured in the incident.
