Okinawa City Police Grabs Elusive Robber

Okinawa City Police recently caught a 38-year old man, on suspicions of sneaking into a house in Goya, Okinawa City and stealing 6,000 cash, a wallet and other property belonging to the 56-year old inhabitant of the house. The arrest was made on Sunday, January 9th, Sunday; but the case was actually registered last October 25th, around 2:00 a.m. However, Okinawa City Police could not arrest the prime suspect of the robbery until last Sunday because they did not have enough elements identify the suspect. Finally, on January 4th, they managed to identify the suspect using Live Scanner, a high performance machine which reads fingerprints. Okinawa City Police obtained a warrant of arrest on January 7th and dispatched 3 police officers to Izena Island, where the suspect lives, to seize him and bring him back to mainland Okinawa by a Prefectural Police helicopter.
