Sun Marina introduces Churrasco Barbeque

The welcome mat is out in northern Okinawa as winter fades and spring prepares for its debut, with the Sun Marina Hotel dangling tantalizing ‘Dining Room Senses’ to visitors.

Churrasco, the South American style barbeque, is now on the Sun Marina’s menu. The succulent beef strips are cut on a skewer right in front of the patron’s eyes, stimulating the appetite. The hotel’s chef is also drawing attention to seafood brought fresh from the nearby Onna wharf, then prepared using healthy ingredients, sea salt and exotic spices.

Located on Okinawa’s northwest coast, just up the road from Onna Village, Sun Marina Hotel is an ideal place for a delectable lunch in a resort setting that includes plenty of space for families with kids to relax over lunch or dinner. Luncheon hours are 11:30 a.m. ! 2 p.m., with an adult cuisine offered for ¥2,079, and children 6-12 paying only ¥1,000 and ¥500 for those small fry five and under. Dinner’s from 6 p.m. ~ 10 p.m. with adults ¥2,980, kids 6-12 ¥1,500 and those five and under only ¥700.

Sun Marina boasts its rooms all having commanding ocean views, plus a unique stone spa and a variety of beauty treatments for guests to pamper themselves. To visit Sun Marina Hotel, head up Highway 58. The hotel is right after the Hotel Moon Beach and Fuchaku Resort.
