Tanning Salon Samurai offers clients safe perfectionDate Posted: 2012-03-16 ![]() ![]() ![]() The Chatan-based salon, which is celebrating its second anniversary in May, has two tanning advisers who work with clients to insure the treatments are right, and that there is no burning. The advisers have been studying the physical aspects of tans for more than a half-dozen years, and understand each aspect of human skin types and tans, a necessity in insuring safe, fast treatments. “Our tanning machine is an effective and strong model,” says Samurai Tanning Salon owner Toshiaki Higa. “but we teach you how to use the machine in the way that is safe. We can adjust the machine to match your skin type, so you have peace of mind while getting the hue of tan you want.” Higa says “sometimes a human body seems to need to be exposed to sunrays, which are ultraviolet rays.” Some customers use the tanning salon even when they don’t want a tan, explaining “they want to expose their bodies to ultraviolet rays for about three minutes as a depression countermeasure, and they say three minutes restores their vitality.” Higa says “we welcome such customers, but we also advise them to consult with a doctor, too.” Samurai Tanning Salon is offering two March campaigns, one a “First Time Visitor Special” costing $5 or ¥500 with no time limit. The second offers clients opportunities for extra stamps on their customer cards for visiting with friends. Two-person group will get twice the number of stamps, three-person group will get three times the stamps. Ten stamps earn the customer one minute of free tanning treatment. Five stamps on a card earn the customer one minute of free tanning. Using the tanning machine costs ¥100 per minute. “Samurai is a reasonably priced, safe place for tanning,” says Higa, “and customers can have peace of mind. It’s the best tanning salon in Okinawa.” Samurai Tanning Salon is located across from the large parking lot in front of Chatan AEON department store, next to Pet Box. The salon is open 1 p.m. to midnight Monday through Friday, and 11 a.m. ~ 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The salon is closed on Wednesdays. For more information, call (098) 989-4543. |
