World Music Festival K-Pop draws 16,000 to Okinawa

Korean K-Pop groups proved to be the drawing card to the World Music Festival in Okinawa that everyone thought they would be, attracting more than 16,000 visitors to the event at Okinawa Cellular Stadium.

The Sunday event featured screen images of Korean dramaís memorable scenes, paired with music written by Oh Joon Sung, composer of the screen music for many popular Korean television dramas. The Ryukyu Symphony Orchestra was on stage, adding a sanshin presentation that fit on Sanshin Day.

Korean and Okinawan music were the World Music Festivalís second show, featuring Kara performing ĎMisterí and the menís group 2PM performing the Japanese version of ĎIím Your Maní.
