Tourism unit stages lunch stamp rally

Date Posted: 2012-03-02

An initiative by a local business association is sending folks to various hotels in Okinawa City to experience or rediscover the quaintness of the Koza area, and is offering prizes to those who visit all four hotels involved.

The Okinawa City Tourism Hotel Business Cooperative Association invites the public to participate in the lunch stamp program, and the association’s director, Yoshiko Shinzaki, says “we hope you will rediscover the charm points of the food culture in Koza with this opportunity.” It’s part of Okinawa Chanpuru-fair, Champaku, focusing on Okinawa City.

The participating hotels in Champaku are the Crown Hotel in Uechi, Sunrise Tourism Hotel in Goya, Hotel New Century in Goya and Deigo Hotel in Chuo. Visitors who get their stamp in the Champaku guide book before March 11th receive momentos of their experiences.
