New Naha hotel accepts reservations for June

The Royal Hotel is now accepting lodging reservations, more than three months before it is scheduled to open in Asahimachi in Naha City on June 1.

The new hotel, “Rihga Royal Gran Okinawa”, has now geared up with a website lodging campaign that includes a special lottery with full course dinner coupons and bottles of wine as prizes. The lottery will run through May 10th. The hotel is a 14-story-high building with 157 guest rooms, including five hotel suites.

The bar and dining room will be located on the top floor, while 60 of the guest rooms are furnished with a “View Bath” with windows, allowing guests to enjoy a view of the ocean while bathing. Rooms will range from 23,100 to 138,600 per night, including the service fee.

Kanehide Group, which owns the hotel building, has contracted operations to Royal Hotel Co. True to the word “Gran” in the hotel name, a Spanish word meaning “excellent”, targets wealthy travelers who demand high class service and amenities. Okinawa is the first location in Japan bearing “Gran” in its name.

The manager of Rihga Royal Gran Okinawa’s business preparation office, Ryuichi Azuma, says during “the Rihga Royal Gran Okinawa is located near the airport, public agencies and business district. We hope that people use the hotel as a base location for business and leisure.”
