Police chase puts a cop car in garbage

The policeman chasing a motorcyclist driving recklessly at 2:10 a.m. didn’t end the way he had it planned, crashing into a garbage collection truck stopped in a traffic lane on Highway 58.

The 25-year-old policeman suffered no injuries other than to his pride, and the garbage truck driver was also not injured. The Ginowan Police patrol car was ruined. The patrol car crashed into the back of the garbage collection truck, severely damaging the hood and front end. Eyewitnesses say the safety air bags worked like they’re supposed to.

Ginowan Police are investigating the details and cause of the accident. The motorcycle got away.
