Pataya Redefines Hot and Spicey Thai Cuisine

The history of exchanges between Thailand and the Ryukyu Islands goes back as far as the 14th Century. Thailan, which was known as gShamuh in those days, built its closest relationship with the Ryukyus through the international trade that flourished among southeast Asian countries. The most popular dishes at the restaurant are fried beef with Basil (200 yen for large, 800 yen for small), Fried Chicken with coconut milk and curry powder (1200 yen for large, 800 yen for small), and Pattahii800yen. If you have something particular which is not on the menu, ask the chefs. They are always happy to make one for you if they have the recipes.

For those who love to enjoy the hotness of Thai foods, and also for those who would rather not sweat over the food, the hotness of each dish can be adjusted to suit the diner's requirements. Just let the chefs know how hot you want your dish to be when the orders are taken.

In order for them to indulge in the real original cuisine of the restaurant, some customers come all the way from Kin village to this Ginowan Thai eatery. The secret behind the authenticity of the food here lies in the skills of its chefs and the ingredients they use for the dishes. All the dishes are cooked by two Thai chefs with over 10 years of experience, and most of their spices are brought straight from Thailand.

gSome customers who traveled to Thailand came to our restaurant and said that our foods tasted differently from what they had there. So, I told them that those foods they had there were cooked for tourists, who are not familiar with hot foods, and I advised them to try the restaurants where the locals eat next time,h Junji Hagiwara, the owner of the restaurant, said confidently.

At the restaurant, other tastes of Thailand, such as Thai beer (700 yen), fruits, and the restaurantfs original coconut milk ice cream (500 yen), also can be relished.

For English-speaking customers, an English menu card is always available. Bilingual staff is available on weekends. Dollars and yen are accepted for payments.
