Okinawa wins a new Peach Aviation route

Another airline will soon be taking off and landing at Naha International Airport, as Japan’s first ever low cost air carrier announces plans for a new route to Okinawa beginning this summer.

Peach Aviation says it will launch five new routes from Osaka’s Kansai Airport, including new twice daily round trips from Osaka to Okinawa. The Osaka-Kagoshima route debuts April 1st, while the others –Osaka-Okinawa, Osaka-Hong Kong, - Osaka-Taiwan Shin-Chitose, and Osaka-Seoul Inchon will start by summer.

Peach Aviation officials say the fledgling airline will expand to a total of five domestic routes and three international routes. All will be on summer timetables.
