American arrested for breaking and entering

Date Posted: 2011-12-09

Urasoe City Police say 22-year-old American broke into a privately owned building, and Cornelius Label Marshall denies the charge.

The arrest came shortly after Urasoe City Police had received reports that foreigners had taken a taxi ride and failed to pay the fee in Naha, and that the foreigners had then taken another taxi to Urasoe City. As Urasoe cops watched taxis entering their territory, they saw Marshall jump from a moving taxi.

Marshall escaped, but police officers searched the area and found him in a private home that the man had broken into. He was arrested. Both Urasoe and Naha Police are investigating how Marshall is related to the taxi crime. No announcements came from police as to Marshall’s status in Okinawa.
