If youíre looking to enjoy a delicious meal out in town during the holiday season, be sure to drop by one of the many Samís restaurants located around Okinawa. The Samís restaurant chain will be offering several new features to celebrate the holiday season including a special menu, Santa visitations, countdown party items, and extended hours on New Years Eve. Be sure to drop by and join in the festivities.
Every Samís restaurant will have a special menu from December 22 until Christmas Day. One specialty dish that will be served at both the Oroku and Awase Samís by the Sea restaurants is the Holiday Sea BassóLightly pan fried sea bass, placed on herbed tomato puree, topped with crab meat basted in white whine and fresh cream, and complimented with saffron rice and seasonal vegetables. This is just one example, but it sounds ravishing.
Also, Santa Claus will be dropping by each restaurant. Be sure to bring your kids by for a special photo opportunity with the man of the season himself! Santa will be dropping by the various restaurants from December 21 to December 25 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., but if you know you will be stopping by the restaurant on a specific date and time, feel free to call in advance for verification that Santa will be in attendance.
On December 31, there a free complementary glass of champagne and poppers will be given to all customers for the countdown celebration! Also, business hours will be extended on December 31 and doors will stay open from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
On a side-note, be sure to check out the new statue of King Kamehameha I that was recently built at the Samís by the Sea in Awase.
The Samís Restaurant Group has been in business since 1970 and has become known for their culinary perfection and presentation. Each of the seven restaurants has become a favorite to both locals and foreigners on Okinawa. From the moment you step through the door, you will be treated with the utmost hospitality and served some of the finest food that can be found anywhere on island.
There are currently seven Samís restaurants on Okinawa: Samís by the Sea (Awase & Naha), Samís Maui (Kumoji & Kokusai), Samís Lahaina, Samís Cafť, and Samís Anchor Inn. Regardless of the type of food you are looking forófrom good old fashioned home-style cooking to steak and lobsteróthere is certainly something for everybody at each of the Samís restaurants.
