Ai Miyazato falters,slips to 8th in LPGA rankings

Ai Miyazato started the Taiwan Championship as a co-leader, but fell apart and ultimately lost the event, falling from seventh to eighth in Ladies Professional Golf Association rankings.

Yani Tseng won the LPGA Taiwan Championship with a 6-under 66, a five-stroke win over Spainís Azahara Munoz and South Koreaís Amy Yang. Tseng takes home $300,000 for the win. Miyazato, who shared the first round lead with Tseng, finished tied for 13th, enough for $31,178, but not enough to hold on to 7th in world standings. Miyazato fell one notch. Fellow Okinawan Mika Miyazato finished tied for 11th.
