Xystus Kids' Land perfect for everyone in familyDate Posted: 2011-10-21    The ‘place’ is Xystus Kids’ Land located within Uruma City Plaza, a fun-filled playground that welcomes foreigners and Okinawans at the site not too far from Camp Courtney and Kadena Air Base. The facility, which opened in July, has a staff on duty from the moment Xystus Kids’ Land opens at 10 a.m. each day, and remains vigilant until it closes at 8 p.m. Xystus Kids’ Land operates across two floors, filled with not only dozens of pieces of playground equipment and appliances, but also a party room for children’s birthday and other special events, rest rooms, a baby room, a café for the exclusive use of the amusement park visitors, a massage chair for parents, and a PC room connected to the internet. Kids must be 19 months old or older to play at Xystus Kids’ Land, and must wear socks. Outside food and beverages are prohibited. The playground equipment and facilities are cleaned and disinfected daily, using the “Clerlus system”. Xystus Kids’ Land is open daily, except the second Monday of each month, but officials say if the second Monday is a holiday, it will be open and the off day will be on Tuesday. To visit Xystus Kids’ Land, exit Kadena Air Base Gate 2 and turn left at Goya Crossing, by Koza Music Town, and continue through Koza Crossing Highway 329. Turn left at the intersection with a Cocomo Shop on the right and Haruyama clothing store on the left, then turn right in front of San-A Gushikawa Main City. Uruma City Plaza is located on the left. |
