Ryukyu Golden Kings uniforms go GoldenDate Posted: 2011-10-20  The new gold color uniforms will debut with the team’s season home opener on October 29th. The new uniform designed by professional sports designers at Descent Marketing is pure gold. The style was modified to shift the team logo from the center of the jersey to near the left shoulder, giving the gold more room to shine, particularly when spotlights are shined on the jerseys. The gold jerseys are trimmed in blue piping. The travel uniform is now white, a bright change from last year’s gray uniform. Descent designers created the new one to establish a closer tie to the home jersey color, adding gold piping for good measure. The jerseys will be available for adoring fans, with the shimmering gold jerseys being sold at the home game booths that carry uniforms, shirts, jerseys, caps and other goods. The new jerseys are also available at the Golden Kings’ online store, http://www.okinawa-stepbystep.com/SHOP/7544/list.html. Team officials say the site is currently only in Japanese, but Americans should have no problem making purchases even without the language skills. A Ryukyu Golden Kings fan says foreigners wanting to “get crazy with the Kings” should become a member of Club Kings. Once a member, individuals have advantages, including points for each home game, that can be used to exchange for goods. |
