Uruma cops bust woman for torching a house

Date Posted: 2011-09-16

A 37-year-old Ginoza Village woman is denying charges levied by Uruma City Police that she set fire to a house, totally destroying it.

Tamami Iha says she didnít set any fires. Police say Iha broke into a house in Kanekadan district of Uruma City, then set fire to the house. The house was totally destroyed, and the fire also damaged an electricity meter and one wall of the neighboring house. Despite her denials, cops have arrested Iha in the case.

Iha was arrested before on arson charges; in February she was arrested and charged with setting fire to another uninhabited structure. The crime this time, on September 5th, was discovered by police conducting another investigation.
