Antiques lure visitors to USNH Nurses sale

Date Posted: 2011-08-19

Antique Chinese furniture, carpets and collectibles are what the Naval Hospital Okinawa Nurses Association are hoping to be big sellers.

More importantly, the nurses association is hoping the Saturday and Sunday sales of Sophie’s Chinese Antiques at the Lester Middle School Gym will bring the community out in numbers, all wanting to buy 19th century Chinese furniture, carpets and antiques. The two-day sale runs 9 a.m. ~ 5 p.m. on Saturday the 20th, and 10 a.m. ~ 5 p.m. on Sunday.

A portion of the proceeds from the antiques sale will be donated to the Okinawa Nurses Association. The Naval Hospital Nurses Association is hoping the community will support their cause, and get some great bargains at the same time. U.S. dollars and credit cards will be accepted at the sale, and organizers say a Home Layaway Program has also been established.
