'Warmth Dome' added to Okinawa Evita regimen

Date Posted: 2011-06-30

A new machine that drains away exhaustion and warms the body with infrared rays is now serving clients at Okinawa Evita massage.

The ‘warmth dome’ comes as Okinawa Evita celebrates its 10th anniversary serving the community, and works to boost body temperature to help keep immune strength high while protecting the body from viruses and bacillus from the outside. Ayako Bastidas, the Okinawa Evita owner, says the warmth dome is valuable in aiding the body in stemming immune system drains and warding off cancer cells.

“It’s summer now,” she says, “but when the winter comes it is easy to get fat if you eat anything you want,” talking about how the warmth dome lowers fat levels because of sweat. It’s especially helpful for people who feel cold in the hands, and from the hips down, Ayako points out, adding that a 20-minute warmth dome treatment is good for limbering up. The warmth dome treatment is $45 or ¥4,500 for an hour, $65 or ¥6,000 for 90 minutes, or $85 or ¥8,000 for two hours.

Using the warmth dome regularly will enhance the body’s functions, says Ayako. Warming the body from the inside using the infrared rays will promote a stronger constitution.

Evita massage is located on Chuo Park Avenue in Okinawa City, on the second floor of the building next to Paddy Mac’s. Appointments are available at 090-5381-3939. Evita is open daily noon to 8 p.m. Both Japanese yen and U.S. dollars are accepted.
