Frank Gordon Jazz Quartet ready for Plaza House concert

The theme's ‘In the Mood for Love' as Frank Gordon and his quartet take to the Roger's Arena stage at Plaza House Shopping Center Feb. 26th.

Gordon, a Wis-consin-born jazz musician who's played with notable artists Duke Ellington, Art Blakey and Sad Jhorns, has been in Okinawa since 2005. He studied music and composition at Chicago Roosevelt University, earning a degree in composing, followed by performing across the United States.

Falling in love with his wife Yoshiko, who was born and raised in Tokyo before moving stateside in 1971, brought Gordon back to Asia and Okinawa. The musician-band leader performed jazz concerts at Plaza House before, with the last performance in 2008. He's also performing frequently at Ginoza Garamand Hall and other Okinawan venues.

Doors open for the Plaza House program at 8 p.m. the 26th, with the concert beginning at 8:30 p.m. Advance tickets are on sale at all Roger's shops in Plaza House Shopping Center, for エ2,000; at the door they're エ2,500.
