Mardi Gras hits Club Power Hitterz

Date Posted: 2011-02-18

Festive parades, beaded necklaces and plenty of music are the order of the month in New Orleans as months of preparations lead to two weeks of absolute Mardi Gras partying.
Mardi Gras is coming to Okinawa Saturday night, courtesy of Syndicate Family Entertainment Group, which is hosting the extravaganza at Club Power Hitterz, Blue Berry Café. Doors open at 9 p.m. for the event, with the soulful voice of R & B sensation Stephanie Soul and fellow Louisiana native Lulu belting out the tunes. They’ll be backed by SF DJ Crew Krowd Control.
While New Orleans attracts some four million revelers for Mardi Gras, all enjoying the parades with imaginative floats carrying costumed party-goers tossing colored beads and other trinkets to the cheering crowds, Syndicate Family Manager ‘Big Eazy’, a Nawlins native, promises the Club Power Hitterz Mardi Gras will be equally exciting. There will be free Cajun dishes, gumbo, stuffed bell peppers, dirty rice and jambalaya, with the first 100 patrons to arrive receiving a free Mardi Gras mask. The crowning of a Mardi Gras king and queen, and a prince and princess of the ball, will cap the evening.
Doors open at Club Power Hitterz on Highway 58 across from Camp Foster at 9 p.m. Admission is ¥2,000 and ¥1,000 for ladies. Reservations and reserved seating information is available at 090-1942-8850, or by email to BigEazy@ SFOkinawa.com.
