Date Posted: 2010-11-11

Amusement centers are designed to be fun for the patrons, and SEGA Amusement Mihama has taken its one-of-a-kind Letís Go-Jungle to new entertainment heights.

Letís-Go-Jungle-Special puts the player in a box-shaped room, sitting in a chair that moves 180 degrees and vibrates while facing challenges on two wide screens. The action, with storylines in English and Japanese, uses air special effects. The popular virtual game machine is the only one of its kind on Okinawa.

UFO catch machine is another popular game with more than 100 game stations. The games are challenging, with a variety of prizes including Evangelion figures, Hello Kittyís cushions, ice creams, sweets and a host of cartoon characters offered. Youhei Saito, Sega Mihamaís manager, says the Letís Go-Jungle Special and Dead-Storm-Pirates are his top rated shooting games, but notes there are plenty of coin games available with a variety of themes.

Sega Amusement Mihama is an enjoyable place to even watch others play. You can stop by after dining or shopping to have fun. Saito says, "Bring along the SEGA coupon from the October 8 issue of Japan Update and get 100 coins worth •1,000 free. The offer is valid through the end of November. The coupon is also available on the web, http://www.japanupdate.com/coupon.htm

Sega is open from 10 a.m. to midnight daily, but kids under age 18 cannot enter after 8 p.m. The amusement center is located in America Vilalge, next to Makeman DIY Mihama Chatan.
