Yaese Town launches ‘colorful vegetables’ projectDate Posted: 2010-11-04 The Colorful Vegetable Project wants people to know about the abundant farm and marine industrial resources here, and that translates into locally produced products Yaese Town would like to see in eating establishments and on drink menus across Japan. It’s first fair was with a mass retailer in Okinawa several months ago. The Yaese Town Association of Commerce and Industry introduced the ‘Colorful Vegetable Recommendation Product Authorization System’ earlier this month, and is now working with farmers to come up with products to sell. Officials say they expect to have enough support to expand marketing efforts later this year. They also are planning a project for November that links tourism programs with the industrial effort. |
