Mihama looking for ghosts and goblins

Halloween’s only 18 days away, and Mihama American Village is spreading the word it’s the place to be for a super Halloween Festival, with everything from goodies to a costume contest.

The Chatan Mihama American Village Jigyoshi Kai is sponsoring the Halloween event, which runs 2 p.m. ~ 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 31st. Tsuya Ikeda, the Assistant Chairman for the event, says the main event’s the costume contest with a $500 first place prize, $300 2nd place prize and $150 3rd place prize. Participation by military families and singles is encouraged. Registration begins at 2 p.m. on Halloween, with the on-stage costume parade and performances beginning at 5 p.m.

There will be prizes for children up to age 12, along with merchandise prizes from local Mihama American Village merchants.
