Clean A/C makes huge difference for hot season

Date Posted: 2010-07-01

As air conditioning units are being turned on now that the rainy season’s been replaced by warmer, humid temperatures, owners are discovering dust, grit and odors coming from the systems.

The solution to the problems of accumulated mold, bacteria, ticks, pollen, dust and tar in air condition units is simple, says the owner of Clean Aid, an air conditioning service company. The Cool Solution, he says, is an inexpensive cleaning service call that removes unpleasant particles and odors from units, while saving customers money. Unclean air conditioning units, he notes, consume more electricity and are not capable of efficiently cooling intended space.

Clean Aid recommends air conditioning units and systems be cleaned at least every 1~3 years, if it’s to help occupants survive the summer heat. “You will see and feel a huge difference after cleaning,” he says. “Look into your air conditioner, and if you see any mold outside, it means the inside is full of mold.”

The company is now offering a summer campaign special, with the normal ¥10,800 service call for a home type A/C for a 6-15 tatami room now only ¥8,000. Customers with four A/C units to be serviced receive a 50% discount on the fourth system/unit. Clean Aid also maintains and cleans kitchen ventilation systems, bathrooms and toilets and floors, and has a division specializing in repairs and renovations.

Appointments may be scheduled at (098) 930-3088, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Cleaning services are available on Saturdays and Sundays to fit customer schedules.
