A Ryukyu University staffer, a printing company boss and a worker are under arrest, facing charges in connection with a fraud case that happened in February and March 2007.

Hiroaki Yonamine, Tomokazu Higa and Hiroaki Fukunaga are being charged with trumping up fake invoices for envelopes, with the money being funneled to a printing company. The three men are reported by police to have received a 970,000 ($10,777) kickback in the deal. Police were tipped to the fraudulent actions by a printing company staffer.

The 57-year-old Yonamine was working as a supervisor at Ryukyu University, working in the hospital administration. Hes alleged to have generated the order for the envelopes, and ordering stationary and other paper products was his job. The other two men, 73-year-old printing company boss Higa, and the 44-year-old Fukunaga, a printer, conspired to create the fraudulent invoice.
