Ancient Egyptian artifacts on exhibition in Urasoe

Those interested in ancient Egypt and its culture should head for Urasoe Art Museum that is hosting and exhibition of ancient Egyptian artifacts. The exhibition is open from this Friday through Dec. 22, daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (admission until 4:30 p.m.). The museum is closed every Monday except on Dec. 22 and strays open until 7 p.m. on Fridays.

Artifacts on exhibition belong to Hildesheim Collection of Germany. The event is jointly sponsored by OTV and Ryukyu Shimpo newspaper. Tickets cost 1,100 for adults, 800 for university and high school students, and 500 for junior high and elementary school children. They are available at Ryubo and Mitsukoshi department stores, and FamilyMart and Lawson convenience stores throughout the prefecture.
