World Fest marks debut Sunday in Uruma City

The 1st AGENAGEA World Festival, featuring more than a dozen shows, international food booths and a variety of entertainment, takes place Sunday in Uruma City.

The event, which is totally free to the public, takes place at the Agena Chuo Park, the Agena Bull Ring, in Uruma City. A total of 15 shows, including Uechiryu Karate Uruma Shubunkan, take place across the day. There will be professional international dance shows including Russian, Thai, Hawaiian and Latin, as well as Chanpuru mixed style live shows by popular Okinawan bands.

The first 300 customers can try for free candy grabs. The parkís playgrounds feature kid-friendly entertainment that includes the bouncy-clown and a giant maze. Visitors can experience making Ryukyu glass, try international costumes, and ride thoroughbreds. There will also be exciting 50ís ~ 70ís classical custom cars, a Harley pavilion and ice carving pavilions. There will also be dozens of international food booths offering real Thai, Peruvian, American, Mexican, Italian and Korean foods.

To get to Agena Bullfighting Ring, which is located between Camps McTureous and Courtney, head toward Camp Courtney. Turn left at the first traffic light at a major intersection after Camp McTureous. The ring is in a park on the left, about 200 meters from the traffic light.
