The island’s largest musical concert, the two-day Peaceful Love Rock Festival ’11, is only weeks away in Okinawa City, and the Mail Centers on Camp Foster and Kadena Air base are offering special discount tickets. The first-ever exhibition staged by Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology has opened to warm praise from local community leaders pleased at the new graduate university’s interest in the arts. Historic Battle of Okinawa anniversary today

More than 40 different exhibitors and vendors will be on hand in Yomitan Village Sunday as the village hosts a brand new festival for the Okinawa community and international visitors.
