This last weekend, I embarked on yet another journey into Shuri to learn more about this area that has had such an outstanding impact on Okinawa and the Ryukyu culture as a whole. According to the map book I keep at home, Shurijo Castle Park is only about two kilometers from my house, so I decided to walk to the castle and soak in as much as possible from the area surrounding the site of this ancient capital.   Read More!
