Conference Wants to Introduce Okinawan Food, Longevity at Summit

The Okinawa District Agricultural Reform Conference was held in Naha City on Monday February 21st, with the theme “Reforming the Okinawan Diet.” During her speech at the conference, former Okinawa Vice Governor Hiroko Sho suggested that steps should be taken to introduce the Okinawan diet and the secrets of the people’s longevity to the whole world using the publicity brought by the G-8 Summit.   Read More!

R&B Singers Get Silk Tattoos in Kanji

Three members of the famous R&B group, Silk, which visited Okinawa last week for a popular concert, are reported to have made a stop by a famous tattoo studio to get their bodies decorated with Chinese characters commonly used in the Japanese language.
