A Japan Air Self Defense Force F-15 fighter jet stationed from JASDF Naha Air Base made a landing on the U.S. Kadena Air Base at 1:13 p.m. on Jan. 17th, 2018.

According to Naha Air Base officials, the aircraft landed on Kadena because Naha Airport was crowded at the time, and the pilot feared his fuel was running short. The JASDF Naha Air Base uses the same runway with the civilian traffic at Naha Airport.
