Navy lieutenant arrested after live round found in bag

Tomigusuku Police arrested a female U.S. Navy lieutenant for a violation the Japanese Swords and Firearms Control Law at Naha Airport on May 18th after the security checker found live ammunition in her carry-on baggage.
According to police, the 27-year-old lieutenant had one round of ammunition in her bag as she tried to pass the security checkpoint in Naha Airport Domestic Terminal at 10:40 in the morning.
Police released the woman after questioning because she is pregnant.
