Marines arrested with ammo in bags at Naha Airport

Tomigusuku Police arrested a U.S. Marine major stationed at Camp Hansen on suspicion of violating the Swords and Firearms Control Law Saturday morning at Naha Airport.

According to police, an inspector at a security checkpoint discovered three live rounds of ammunition in the luggage of 41-year-old Maj. Bradley Foltz, and called police.

Police say Bradley has admitted to the charge, and explains that the rounds were inadvertently in his bag because of an oversight.

Tow days earlier on Mar. 30, another Marine, a Staff Sergeant stationed on Camp Courtney, was arrested at Naha Airport security checkpoint, because he had 13 live rifle cartridges in his bag.
