Foster Fest invites all to kickstart summer

As the summer is almost here and Okinawa’s heat ratchets onward and upward, so does the MCCS festival season with the Camp Foster Festival the first of the year taking place from 1 – 9 p.m. both days, on Saturday, Apr. 22 and Sunday, Apr. 23.

This free event is open to all DoD ID card holders and Japanese citizens.
Festival-goers can be ready to experience everything that makes a festival worth the wait with free top-notch entertainment, game booths, joyrides, Fun Land for children of all ages and, of course, a variety of festival foods, such as yakitori, yakisoba, corn dogs and more. Hungry revelers can also enjoy USA staples such as sizzling burgers from Bulldogs, succulent BBQ beef briskets and juicy chicken from Hickory House All-American BBQ, and pizza and wings.

For patrons 20 years of age and older, refreshing beverages can be purchased from Kanpai Lounge.
The most anticipated event at the Camp Foster Festival is featured entertainment of Grammy-winning alternative rock band Switchfoot, who will perform live starting 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.

With top-quality entertainment and great food and games for all ages, Foster Festival is sure to be another great festival for the whole family.
No pets, outside alcohol, bottles, backpacks or coolers will be allowed. Taxi and Daiko services will be available.
