Bands invited to audit for Peaceful Love Rock Festival

The annual Okinawa City tradition “Peaceful Love Tock Festival” is again gearing up and organizers are inviting bands to the audition of the “34th Peaceful Love Rock Festival 2017.”

The first audition takes place on Apr. 8th for an appearance at the rock festival where legendary bands have created the tradition of “Koza Rock” since the Vietnam War era. Recently, the featival has become the event for young independent bands to get together and show their mettle. This year, the festival will be held at Music Town Oto-ichiba on Jul. 8, as the bullring in Koza Sports Park has been demolished.

Any band can apply to the festival, but have to play its original songs. The initial audit is conducted from recordings, followed by the second round, to which successful candidates are invited to perform live, and the performers for the festival are finally chosen.
