Korean WBC Team having training camp on Okinawa

With the March kick-off around the corner, the Korean national World Baseball Cup (WBC) team started its spring training camp Monday at Uruma City Gushikawa baseball field.

Uruma City held a welcome reception for the team offering local products and beer. Many representatives of Korean media and fans gathered to see the public workout of the team.

The Korean team played in the final WBC game against the Japanese national team in 2009. After the fierce fight and an extra-inning, the team lost and won silver. At the reception, Kim In-Sik, the manager of the Korean team said, “Although we are going to stay only for a short period, we would like to train hard and have good results.”
