Hotel Lion Queen offers reasonable accommodation at any time
Hourly hotels that rent rooms to customers without advance booking and no questions asked discretion have been available in Europe for a long time, and in Japan what is called “Love Hotels” have an equally long history. The common trait is that they all have somewhat questionable, if not outright seedy, reputation.
However, the business model of these establishments is not so bad. Many people are discovering that they offer the best value for money when you need a place to take a shower, sleep a few hours to clear your system from a party the night before, or spend a night before the public transportation starts functioning in the morning instead of taking a costly taxi trip home.
Hotel Lion Queen in Awase, Okinawa City is one of those facilities. Depending on where you live, sometimes staying in a hotel is cheaper than using a “daiko” service or taxi, and it’s nice to sleep on a comfortable bed, take bath, watch TV, and eat a free breakfast next morning.
The difference between a business hotel and Hotel Lion Queen is that at a business hotel a guest reserves one room for one guest a day, but at a hotel like the Lion Queen, one can check in anytime, and there are almost always many rooms available.
All rooms have a massage machine, jet bath, and karaoke for fun. Some special rooms have a jacuzzi, sauna, and mist sauna. Those rooms are very nice to stay for a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary.
The manager of Lion Queen says, ”We provide a variety of free amenities, including a straightening iron, facial sauna, and an air cleaner that are available upon request. Also, we have a free cup of hot coffee and ice cream for each guest. Cosplay costumes are also very popular,” the manager says
Also, a guest can choose their favorite amenity bath powder, shampoo, and conditioner.
Guests don’t need to bring anything, everything one could want down to nail scissors and contact lens cases are available. In a matter of fact, the manager boasts that, “it’s much better than resort hotels.
Those staying overnight can choose a free breakfast from curry, ramen, western and Japanese food, all served to the room.
The basic price covers a stay of up to 16 hours if you check in between 18:00 to 3:00 on weekdays, and up to 12 hours if you check in between 22:00 to 3:00 on weekends.
