Marine SSgt arrested on suspicion of DUI
Police arrested a U.S. Marine in Chatan on Sunday morning on suspicion of drunk driving.
According to Okinawa City Police, 40-year-old SSgt. Olusuegun Kayode, stationed at Camp Hansen, was arrested after a police patrol noticed a vehicle driven by Kayode to make a left turn in a suspicious way when he left a parking lot about 1:25 a.m. on Sunday. The building next to the parking lot houses several bars and pubs.
A breathalyzer test on Kayode detected an alcohol level of about double the legal limit in his breath, police said. Kayode is reportedly denying the allegation.
