Marine nabbed for DUI in Ginowan
Ginowan Police arrested a 26-year-old Marine corporal from Camp Foster on suspicion of drinking and driving Saturday afternoon on Highway 58 in Oyama, Ginowan City.
According to Ginowan Police, Marine Cpl Carlos Martinez was driving his car on Highway 58 towards Camp Foster, and was involved in an accident that caused property damage. When a police patrol arrived at the scene, they noticed smell of alcohol in Martinez’s breath. A breathalyzer test showed about six times the legal limit of alcohol in his breath. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under influence.
Police say that when questioned, Martinez claimed that he “only had one bottle of beer,” and has denied part of the changes
