Okinawa team wins kids’ rubber baseball title
While high school baseball teams battle for national championship at Koshien Stadium in Hyogo Prefecture, younger kids played at the 32nd All Japan Children’s Rubber Baseball Tournament in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture.
The final game of the tournament took place on Aug. 13th at the Yokohama Stadium, and Tomigusuku Junior High School team representing Okinawa won the tournament title. In the game, the Tomigusuku team beat Hino Junior High School team from Nagasaki Prefecture 4-0. This marked the second time for a team from Okinawa to win the tournament since 2002.
