Airman becomes 11th U.S. military nabbed for DUI
A 23-year-old airman from Kadena Air Base became the 11th U.S. military person in three weeks to be arrested on suspicion of DUI when he was nabbed on Saturday in Makishi, Naha.
According to Naha Police, a police patrol noticed a car making a left turn without using a turn signal, and stopped it. A breathalyzer test showed about twice the legal limit of alcohol in his breath. The airman said, “I thought the alcohol has gone already from my system,” and denied the charges.
